You know, everyone always talks about how West Chester is such a liberal town. In reality, that is a huge load of crap. I’m disgusted by the treatment that I received today. I had to wear our marching band uniform, which consists of a shiny, gold coat. I did not choose for our uniform to look like…
Have you ever bullshitted an assignment so hard you basically laugh after every sentence you write

i'm trying out for the guard auditions at crossmen this weekend and i feel pretty good on technique on flag (well on my right hand; my left is iffy but it is getting better and i'm going to be able to push through), but when i dance, i'm pretty sure i look like a drunk bird. even though it's not as graceful as i'd like it to be, i'm still trying my hardest. do i have a chance? i'm still going to force myself to be positive no matter what, of course.
i’m not gonna say oh yeah you’ll totes get a spot but I’ll tell you things that might make life easier/more enjoyable.
1. hang out with the vets. they’re pretty cool people. I don’t lie about that 2. don’t be half-ass because you’re afraid of looking stupid. especially with dance. i can’t dance for shit (at least I think I can’t) but i just constantly tried to be full out as much as I possibly could 3. don’t be discouraged if you learn things that are new and you can’t get them right away. Seriously, the girl rifle line during spring training, we’ll all admit we were a hot mess, but we got so much better by working together and helping each other. 4. Don’t be positive, just be realistic, but if your realistic is as negative as I usually am, then I guess you could say be positive. 5. Have fun. If you can’t have fun during one weekend there’s no way you’re gonna have fun all summer. know what i mean?
